Congratulations to Kim for receiving the Ford Foundation, NSF Graduate Research and Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellowships at Harvard-MIT. Kim graduated from UCR and the B2K in 2021 and moved to Massachusetts to begin her doctoral work under the training of Professor Paula Hammond at MIT. While with the B2K, Kim performed pathway analysis on observed upregulations of proteins and genes for the drug neuregulin (NRG-1) used in a stroke model. Her work was in collaboration with Professor Byron Ford (now at Howard University).
