The osmotic transport device (OTD) was awarded US Patent No. 10420918 on September 24, 2019 for the invention entitled "Compositions and methods for reducing traumatic edema of the central nervous system". This is a great step towards making this methodology realizable to help severe TBI and stroke patients undergoing craniectomies to improve recovery by controllably reducing edema.
