Congratulations to Dr. Raymond Yeung on successfully defending his thesis entitled "Characterization of Particulate Flow Dynamics of Flat-Plate Microchips in Microfluidic Channels for High-Throughput Sorting Applications." Ray was co-advised by Professor William Grover and myself on this important work, which was funded by NSF with Professor Philip Brisk serving as the Principal Investigator.
Ray also published an important paper in this area of research in the International Journal of Multiphase Flow "Characterization of the critical lift-off of a single flat-plate microchip particle in straight rectangular microchannel flows" that will be published in December 2025.
